Independent bookshops are fighting the good fight and the town of Ponte de Lima (Portugal) is lucky to have the charming A União Livraria.  Jane visited the shop for a book talk and reading on 15 June. 

“It’s always such a joy to connect with readers in person and more so in such a lovely space.  We started many conversations about the themes in Umbilical and left far too many unfinished!”
